Privacy and data use
IP CONFIG is designed to explain connection data while collecting as little as practical. This policy is an operational draft and must receive qualified legal review before public launch.

The server necessarily receives an IP address to deliver a page. A lookup can send that address to IPGeolocation or the IPWHOIS.IO fallback and to VPNAPI.IO or the quota-guarded ProxyCheck fallback. Normalized results are cached under salted hashes; the raw IP is not used as a cache filename. Contact details are processed only when a visitor submits a form.
Country, region, city, postal area, coordinates, time zone, ISP and ASN come from third-party network databases and may be inaccurate. Coordinates can be sent to OpenWeatherMap, WeatherAPI.com or Open-Meteo for approximate weather. When a map is displayed, the browser loads an OpenStreetMap embed and OpenStreetMap receives ordinary request data such as the visitor IP. IP CONFIG does not request browser GPS permission.
VPN, proxy, Tor, hosting-network and 0–100 risk signals are provider opinions that can be wrong or describe shared infrastructure. They are displayed for troubleshooting and must not be used by themselves to identify a person or make legal, employment, credit, housing or other high-impact decisions. Anonymous ProxyCheck access is protected by a shared daily budget and cache.
Inquiry, career and protected tool forms use CSRF controls where applicable, honeypots, rate limits and Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile receives ordinary request and browser data to determine whether a submission is human. Career applications include contact, address, education, experience, cover letter and résumé data. When uploads are enabled, PDF or DOCX files enter private S3-compatible quarantine and HR receives a temporary signed link.
A network report is generated locally from the same approximate connection, reputation and weather fields shown by the site. If the visitor checks the optional compression box and the administrator has enabled iLovePDF, the generated file is temporarily transmitted to iLovePDF for compression. The download is not retained by the report controller, but providers may apply their own logs and terms.
Google Analytics 4, Yandex Metrica with Webvisor, Microsoft Clarity, Google AdSense and Bluehost Impact affiliate tracking remain paused until optional consent is saved and the corresponding identifiers are configured. Google Consent Mode is initialized with denied storage before an approved choice. Essential preferences store language, theme, security session and consent version.
Links marked sponsored can lead to NordVPN, NordPass or InterServer. IP CONFIG may receive a commission after a qualifying purchase. Those providers receive ordinary request information when a visitor follows a link and apply their own terms and privacy notices.
Geolocation and reputation caches default to 24 hours, weather caches to 10 minutes, and the public live diagnostic to one hour. Operational logs and form data follow the configured retention schedule. Controller identity, legal bases, regional rights and processor terms require qualified legal review.
